A solid tab and slot style. The staircase is a bit of a PITA. I didn’t get it done perfectly, but had to just let it go where it ended up. A few small spots of super glue help “tack weld” the whole thing together especially putting in the plastic railing. The whole stairs are built around a small little dowel and it’s very easy to get glue on the dowel and the whole staircase gets locked in a position you don’t want it in. Recommend slow glue and keep working it to make sure the dowel doesn’t get stuck. A fun little diversion between complex kits.
